Terms of Service

By using the VRChat Legends website (including creating an account, linking sign-in providers such as Discord, Twitch, or Patreon, community onboarding, optional authenticated profile likes or reports where available, the live chat, and the developer platform), our Discord server, or any affiliated VRChat worlds, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. Violations may result in warnings, content removal, or permanent bans.

• The site is a fan-made, community-driven archive. Content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes.
• Do not attempt to access, scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse any API endpoint beyond normal site usage.
• Accounts are created with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Sign-in providers (Discord, Twitch) and Patreon can only be linked to an existing account from your settings.
• Paid ranks are granted by linking the Patreon account that holds an active membership. The site assigns the matching roles to your linked Discord account; ranks are removed if the membership lapses or the link is removed. Do not attempt to obtain paid ranks through false membership claims or account sharing.
• Creating or editing Discord-linked Legend content requires a linked Discord account. You must complete our VRChat verification flow before a new community (user-generated) profile can be finalized. You must not link a VRChat account that belongs to someone else.
• Profile edits and uploads apply only to Legends you are authorized to manage (typically your Discord-linked Legend page).
• Submitting false, misleading, or harmful profile content - including deceptive VRChat verification - will result in immediate removal and an account/site ban.
• Do not attempt to impersonate another legend, team member, or use another person's profile credentials.

• Staff-curated Legend profiles are published with documented consent when required, unless they are factual community documentation created under site editorial guidelines.
• Community Legend profiles may be created by individuals through onboarding that ties a single Discord login to verification of a VRChat account you control and (where applicable) the site invite or upgrade rules. One active community Legend per Discord login is enforced by the onboarding flow unless staff migrate or merge profiles.
• Full Legend pages unlocked through invite redemption or staff actions remain subject to these terms and moderation.
• All images, biography text, links, badges, pronouns, and other submitted fields must be appropriate, truthful where presented as factual, and must not infringe third-party rights.
• Staff reserve the right to edit, annotate, revoke visibility, rename URL slugs where allowed, suspend, or permanently remove any Legend content - including Discord-linked bans - that violates these Terms, our Discord rules, or applicable law.
• Signed-in users may submit abuse reports against community Legends only for legitimate moderation reasons. False or vexatious reporting may itself be moderated.
• To request removal of your Legend profile page, email support@vrchatlegends.com. Removal targets are assessed within roughly 7 business days once identity is reasonably verified.

• Respect all players, staff, and community members at all times.
• No harassment, stalking, doxxing, or targeted abuse of any individual.
• Do not impersonate staff members or misuse community authority.
• No hate speech, slurs, discriminatory behavior, or incitement.
• No threats of real-life harm or content that encourages self-harm.
• Follow the VRChat Community Guidelines and EULA in all affiliated worlds.

The following result in an immediate permanent ban from VRChat Legends worlds, Discord, and the site:

• NSFW, sexual, or fetish-based avatars or content.
• Avatar crashers, malicious scripts, or tools that disrupt the experience for others.
• Any form of racism, homophobia, transphobia, or hate-based harassment.
• Unauthorized exploits, hacks, mods, or cheat clients.
• Impersonation, identity fraud, or scamming community members.
• Spreading malware, phishing links, or illegal content.
• Political extremism or propaganda of any kind.
• Creating alt accounts to evade an existing ban.

• No mic spam, loud audio, sustained screaming, or disruptive soundboards.
• No TTS harassment or voice changers used to harass others.
• No text flooding, spam, chain messages, or unsolicited advertising.
• No posting of audio files containing hate speech, harassment, NSFW content, or copyrighted material without permission.
• Persistent trolling, even within the bounds of humor, is subject to moderation.

• Unauthorized access to the backend, databases, or private API endpoints is strictly prohibited.
• Do not scrape, flood, or deliberately abuse the public API beyond normal site usage.
• API keys and OAuth client secrets are confidential. Do not share, sell, or embed them in public client code. You are responsible for all requests made with your credentials; compromised credentials should be regenerated immediately in the Developer portal.
• Applications using our "Sign in with VRChat Legends" OAuth service must accurately represent who they are, request only the scopes they need, use the data solely to provide their stated functionality, and delete it on user request. Reselling or misusing user data obtained through OAuth is prohibited.
• We may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke any API key or OAuth application at any time, including for abuse, misleading conduct, or security concerns.
• Content created through the API (such as feed posts) is labelled as API-created, follows the same content rules as the rest of the site, and is subject to the same moderation.
• Do not create phishing pages, fake mirrors, or impersonation sites of VRChat Legends.
• Responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities is welcomed. Contact support@vrchatlegends.com.

• No NSFW, gore, disturbing, or sexually explicit content (including AI-generated).
• No NSFW or disturbing audio files. All uploaded audio is subject to moderation and may be removed without notice.
• No political, extremist, or hate-based imagery or text.
• No false claims, defamatory content, or private information about real individuals without consent.
• All user-submitted content may be reviewed, edited, or removed by admins without prior notice.

• Moderators may kick, mute, warn, or ban at their discretion in accordance with these rules.
• Challenging or harassing moderation staff will escalate the severity of any penalty.
• Serious violations may be reported to VRChat Trust & Safety or relevant authorities.

• We collect limited operational data described in our Privacy Policy - including account credentials (email and hashed password), IPs for presence and abuse controls, Discord identifiers for authenticated actions (such as edits, likes, reports), Patreon membership details when you link Patreon, VRChat-derived verification identifiers during community onboarding, volunteered profile fields, chat content, analytics counters, and moderation-related metadata forwarded to authorized staff tooling.
• Third-party applications you authorize through our OAuth service receive only the scopes you approve on the consent screen. Their use of that data is governed by their own terms and policies.
• We do not sell your personal information. Infrastructure partners process data only so the site stays online.
• Material flagged during moderation investigations may be retained for security records and escalation.

Bans for NSFW content, hate speech, doxxing, or malicious exploitation are non-appealable. All other moderation decisions may be appealed once by emailing support@vrchatlegends.com with your case. Appeals are reviewed within 14 days.

• The live chat is synced bidirectionally with our Discord server. Messages sent from the website appear in Discord and vice versa.
• All chat messages, images, and audio files are stored on our server indefinitely unless deleted by an admin.
• Audio uploads are limited to admins. uploaded audio files are stored publicly and are accessible via a direct URL.
• The blur flag on images hides the preview by default, but the underlying file URL remains publicly accessible. Do not use chat to host sensitive or private images.
• Admins may delete any message, image, or audio file at any time without prior notice.
• Attempting to circumvent rate limits, spam the chat, or abuse the chat API will result in a ban.

• Profile "About" fields, feed posts, and feed comments are user-generated content. You are solely responsible for what you post and must hold the rights to any media you upload or link.
• Some profile fields accept a limited set of formatting and HTML. Submitted markup is sanitized server-side; attempting to inject scripts, tracking, iframes, or markup that breaks page layout or other users' experience is prohibited and will be removed.
• Replies and comments must follow the same conduct and content rules as the rest of the site. No harassment, spam, NSFW, hate speech, or advertising.
• Feed posts may expose public embed and share links (including iframe embeds and rich link previews on other platforms). By posting publicly you accept that the post, its media, and engagement counts can be displayed off-site through these embeds.
• Any signed-in user may report a feed post or comment for legitimate moderation reasons. False or vexatious reporting may itself be moderated.
• Staff may edit, hide, or remove any profile content, feed post, or comment, and may disable embedding for content that violates these Terms.

VRChat Legends is an independent fan project not affiliated with VRChat Inc. All VRChat-related trademarks belong to VRChat Inc. The site is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind. VRChat Legends is not responsible for third-party actions, client modifications, or any damages arising from community interactions.
