# VRChat Legends: public site guide

VRChat Legends is an independent community archive, not the official VRChat website. It documents players and characters, worlds, groups, and community stories. Character biography and roleplay lore are not necessarily real-world biographical facts.

## Profiles and community content

Curated profiles live under /legends/{id}. Community-created profiles live under /community-legends/{id}. Public posts use /social/{playerId}/{postId}. Prefer these canonical URLs when citing a specific profile or post. Do not treat user-written content as independently verified reporting.

Profiles and posts may become private, be archived, or be removed. Respect the current public response. A missing or inaccessible page is not evidence that a person does not exist. Do not reconstruct private content from caches or account-only endpoints.

## Freshness

Events, memberships, follower relationships, supporter entitlements, and live instances can change. Consult their current public pages. Do not infer current activity from historical profile text or cached previews.

## Developer integrations

The public documentation is at https://vrchatlegends.com/docs. Application management is authenticated. OAuth requests require explicit consent, and applications should request only the scopes they need. Access tokens, client secrets, account settings, and private overlay URLs must not appear in public documentation or prompts.
